Good Screen Time vs Bad Screen Time

How do you manage screen time for yourself?

In today’s digital world, screens are an inseparable part of our lives — from work and study to entertainment and social connection. But not all screen time is created equal. The difference between good and bad screen time lies in how and why we use our devices.
Good screen time adds value to your life. It includes:
> Learning and creativity: Watching educational videos, attending online classes, or creating digital art.
>Productivity: Using tools for work, research, or skill development.
>Connection: Video calling loved ones or joining meaningful online communities.
This type of screen use encourages growth, learning, and positive interaction.

Bad screen time, on the other hand, drains your energy and focus. It includes:
>Mindless scrolling on social media.
>Binge-watching without purpose.
>Overexposure to negativity or misinformation online.
Such habits can lead to eye strain, anxiety, and reduced productivity — leaving you feeling exhausted rather than enriched.

The goal isn’t to eliminate screen time but to use it mindfully. Take regular breaks, set limits for entertainment apps, and prioritize content that inspires or educates.
Remember, screens are powerful tools — it’s how we use them that defines whether they work for us or against us.
