Punjab is a northwestern state of India known for its fertile alluvial plains, agricultural productivity, canal irrigation system, vibrant cultural heritage, and historical significance. The present state of Punjab was reorganized on 1 November 1966 after the division of the former Punjab state and the creation of Haryana and transfer of some hill regions to Himachal Pradesh. Punjab has 22 districts and 81 subdistricts.

This page provides district-wise shapefiles for Punjab, which can be used in QGIS, ArcGIS, Google Earth Engine, and other GIS software. These shapefiles are based on commonly used Survey of India (SOI) / Census 2011 administrative boundaries, making them suitable for academic, research, and planning purposes.
