Haryana is a northern Indian state known for its fertile plains, strong agricultural base, and rapid urban and industrial development, especially around the National Capital Region (NCR). The state was formed on 1 November 1966 following the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966, when it was carved out of the former state of Punjab.
According to the Census of India 2011, Haryana had a total population of 25,351,462. Under the 2011 Census administrative structure, the state had:
- Total Districts: 21
- Total Sub-districts (Tehsils): 74
- Total Community Development Blocks: 140
- Total Villages: 6,841

- Download the Zip File: Click the above link(s) and download the zip file containing the shapefile.
- Extract the Contents: Unzip the downloaded file. Inside, you’ll find multiple files with extensions like
.shp,.shx,.dbf, etc. All these files make up a shapefile dataset. - Import into GIS Software: Open your preferred GIS software (such as QGIS or ArcGIS). Use the “Add Vector Layer” tool, and select the
